Chris Hood

Chief Executive Officer, US Army Veteran

With the heart of a U.S. Army veteran and the grit of a former firefighter, Chris pours unmatched dedication and accountability into every construction project. He’s been the trusted Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) for Storey County, NV, and a life safety manager for large-scale manufacturing facilities. Armed with multiple board certifications in building inspection, he thrives on tackling complex commercial and industrial projects. Chris doesn’t just ensure top-notch quality for clients—he rallies contractors, hits critical milestones, and builds rock-solid relationships with clients, contractors, and regulators alike. When he’s not leading the charge, you’ll find him hunting, camping, or fishing, always with his beloved dogs and family by his side.

Nathan Weber

Chief Operations Officer, US Navy Veteran

With nearly 25 years of experience in construction, design, and development, Nathan Weber is a seasoned industry professional. His career began in the U.S. Navy as a Hull Maintenance Technician, gaining hands-on skills foundational to construction. After earning a BA and Master of Architecture from UNLV, he worked with firms across Las Vegas. In 2014, he became a licensed general contractor and founded his first Design+Build firm, later transitioning into mixed-use development. After managing a $1.5 billion urban infill project in Reno, he joined Teklus Construction in 2023. Nathan’s dual background in design and construction brings lasting value to every project.

Shu Nomura

Chief Financial Officer, Founder

Shu is originally from Japan and moved to Reno in 1999 to pursue educational opportunities. He graduated from multiple technical programs, including a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management. With a family background in engineering and construction, he naturally built a career in the industry. As a civil and land development designer, he contributed to major industrial and site development projects, including the early-stage development of Gigafactory 1. His role was key to the project’s successful launch. In 2017, Shu founded Teklus companies to provide project management and general contracting services, focusing on high-tech and large-scale industrial developments.

Josiah Saunders

Senior Project Manager

Josiah joined Teklus Construction in 2024, bringing experience in the construction, maintenance, and operation of commercial and industrial facilities in Northern Nevada. At Teklus, he plays a key role in managing site operations for high-tech and manufacturing facility projects. His hands-on approach and attention to detail help drive successful project execution. In addition to field operations, Josiah is actively involved in our operational improvement initiatives, focusing on enhancing service quality and continuity. His contributions support the company’s commitment to excellence and efficiency. Outside of work, Josiah is passionate about continuous learning and contributing to innovative construction practices.
